Cookie Policy
We use a single analytics cookie. No advertising trackers, no cross-site profiling, no social pixels. This page tells you exactly what is set, why, and how to change your mind.
What we set
We use one third-party analytics tool, Google Analytics 4, to understand aggregate site usage — which pages are read, how visitors find us, and what content is working. Nothing on this site personalises ads, follows you across other sites, or builds a profile of you.
When you accept analytics on the cookie banner, Google Analytics sets cookies on your device starting with _ga and _ga_*. These store a randomly generated visitor ID and the timestamp of your current session. Google Analytics may also log technical signals from your request (IP address, browser, referrer, page URL) for the duration of the measurement.
If you decline, we set no analytics cookies. The site continues to work normally. We do not retaliate by degrading the experience.
Why we set it
We are a small team. We use analytics to answer questions that change what we write next: which workflows do visitors care about, which industries get the most reading time, where do people drop off. That is the entire purpose.
We do not use analytics data for advertising, retargeting, lookalike audiences, lead enrichment, or sale to third parties.
Your controls
You can change your mind at any time. The button below reopens the cookie banner so you can switch your choice.
You can also clear cookies in your browser settings, or use a browser-level Do Not Track / Global Privacy Control signal. If your browser sends GPC, we treat that as a decline by default and will not load analytics until you explicitly accept.
Third parties
Google Analytics is operated by Google LLC and (for EEA/UK visitors) Google Ireland Limited. Their processing of cookie data is governed by Google’s privacy policy at policies.google.com/privacy.
We do not embed any other third-party scripts that set cookies — no chat widgets, no social pixels, no advertising tags.
Changes to this policy
If we add a new cookie-setting tool, we will update this page and reopen the consent banner so you can decide again. Material changes will also be flagged at the top of the page.
